Traps & Treasures Out Now
Traps & Treasures is finally here.
It’s a very good day today. Not only because it’s Thursday, but also because it’s Release Thursday. After one and a half months of work. We bring you The Traps & Treasures update.
Explore new biomes, fight off skeleton traps, gain new advancements, get wolf armor, craft dyable bundles and More!
But there’s more. On the api side, we’ve renamed buttons, added new mob features, and added new enhancement features.

VoxelForge Beta 0.5.0 Release Candidate 1
Today we are updating api features, and we are taking bundles out of the experimental setting, and more.
Changes Removed Cavegen api, due to some unstable activity, and performance reasons. (Editor’s Note: It would occasionally fully crash MT.) Bundles have been removed from experimental settings. Added a setting to toggle whether or not phantoms can spawn. Animated the armadillo (Editor’s Note: This is the first animation done by VoxelForge developers. Expect bugs) Added new randomly_turn api feature to mobs players can now fall as far as y-120 and still get the Caves & Cliffs Advancement.

0.5.0 Has a Name, and release date
Well. After a while of teasing you all with the update name ‘Ominous Winds’ We will finally reveal the actual name. Not only that, but we will also move VoxelForge into a new version stage: Beta. We’ve fixed so many bugs, and the game is mostly stable, which is why we’re removing Alpha tag. Some may have noticed the WIP tag has already been removed from ContentDB a while back.

VoxelForge Alpha 0.5.0 Pre Release 3
This release removes the single biome mapgen due to crashes with it on certain linux distributions.

VoxelForge Alpha 0.5.0 Pre Release 1
Well. After an unavoidable crash was reported on 5.9.0 we’ve decided to go ahead and do this week’s snapshot, a bit early. This one is packed with bug fixes, bundle improvements, new advancments, and More!
Experimental Bundles Bundles can now be dyed 16 different colors. Bundles can now have the drop item selected by left-click. (Editor’s Note: This is due to engine limitations, of not allowed formspec tooltips) Bundles can now be crafted.

VoxelForge Weekly Release 24w37d
After a nice break over the weekend, we’ve started adding even more features. With crispiebacon hard at work thinking up new ideas for textures for VoxelForge. We’ve got a new update packed full of changes. We can’t wait for you to try them out.

VoxelForge Weekly Release 24w36c
Hello. Today we’re releasing the final release for the week. This one adds some early features That we’re going to be added in Alpha 0.5.0 but since we reached the 1k downloads milestone we’re releasing it now.
Changes Added A new Cavegen api (Editor’s Note: This is quite laggy. It will greatly improve come Minetest 5.9.0 full support, however minimum MT version is 5.7.0. Min version will be 5.9.0 once 5.

[DeepDive] A Sneak Peak Into New VoxelForge features.
Get your armor ready, and prepare your weapons, cause we’ve got big news.
You ever get tired of reaching the world edge in an hour ? You tired of beautiful terrain generation suddenly cut off ?
Well recently we’ve forked the MT engine and we’re giving it an update. We’re changing the world size from 16 bit integer (31007 map limit) to 32 bit integer (meaning the generation number is a whopping 2,147,483,008 (much much much bigger)) We’ll use MineCraft for comparison.
